Quietly they watch, judging… contemplating some secret fate that is yet to befall you and fostering a perverse pleasure in not being able to warn you (they are inanimate objects after all, they can’t talk, you know. You’re probably just imagining things anyways).

I’m a sucker for ‘faux objects’ like a ceramic tray that looks like cardboard and this glass bowl/vase thingamajig that looks like an open Ziploc bag. My mom use to have glass candies in a dish and I loved the look on people’s faces when they grabbed one and realized they were glass.
